NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Update: Residents who were evacuated from their homes Thursday night have been allowed to return top their homes after a gas main was hit in a crash, according to the La Vergne Police Department.
LVPD said Nir Shreibman Boulevard and Ramsden Avenue have also reopened.
At this time, the gas company is at the scene checking the gas main.
No other details have been released.
Earlier: Some residents in a La Vergne neighborhood are being evacuated after a gas main was hit in a reckless driving crash, according to the La Vergne Police Department.
Nir Shreibman Boulevard and Ramsden Avenue are closed as a result of the crash as well.
LVPD said as a precaution, officers are evacuating residents and motorists from the area. People are also being asked to avoid this area until further notice.
