Half-off admission at participating San Diego County and Tijuana cultural institutions is back.
Throughout February, locals can visit over 70 museums, gardens, aquariums, parks and historic sites at a discounted rate. The public can receive their 50% admission discounts by picking up free printed museum passes at about 80 public libraries throughout San Diego County. New this year, passes are also available at five libraries in Imperial County: Brawley Public Library, Enrique S. “Kiki” Camarena Memorial Library, El Centro Public Library, Imperial County Free Library and Imperial Public Library.
Digital passes can be downloaded directly to smartphones starting Feb. 1 on the San Diego Museum Council website: sandiegomuseumcouncil.org
Participants should also check the website for special details per locations, such as hours and access codes. For example, the The San Diego Museum of Art and Museum of Photographic Arts will only take printed passes for the promotion.
Other locations included in the offer are the USS Midway Museum, San Diego Botanic Garden, Pacific Southwest Railway Museum, Birch Aquarium at Scripps and Living Coast Discovery Center.
