PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A driver in Philadelphia found her vehicle encased in ice in the city’s Fishtown neighborhood.
Tianna Graham said she shoveled out her car on the 1000 block of North Front Street on Monday after the winter storm.
But the snow was the least of her worries.
She returned to her vehicle on Wednesday, and that’s when she first spotted water nearby.
“I noticed the pipe burst (Wednesday) because that part of the street was blocked off with red crime scene tape,” Graham told Action News. “I went over there to talk to the cop, and he told me about the water line. I asked him if I should move my car, and he told me I would be fine where I’m at.”
On Thursday, she found her Honda completely covered in ice.
As Philadelphia sees its sixth day below-freezing, Graham says there’s been no progress on the situation.
The Action Cam was on the scene Thursday, where it also appears at least one other vehicle was impacted.
A Philadelphia Water Department crew was seen working nearby on the 100 block of Pollard Street, digging up the road. We are still working to find out what happened
