(ABC 6 News) — The City of Hollandale issued a boil water advisory this week due to issues stemming from a frozen water tower.
The water tower issues have led to water main breaks in town.
The water boil advisory states that on Tuesday, January 27, the city experienced a loss of pressure in the water system due to a water main break.
The affected area includes Netherlands Avenue between Northern Avenue and Central Avenue.
According to an official with the city, crews attempted to steam the water tower on Thursday, but they did not get all the way through it and will return on Friday.
The official said that while there were water outages in portions of Hollandale on Thursday, water service has been restored throughout the city.
