NEW YORK CITY — A new dog daycare concept in Manhattan is now open with the goal of providing personal and premium care to New York City dogs.

Founded by a husband and wife team Jeffrey and Gabriella Carlson, Barkhouse was created after their personal search for dog care that felt clean, modern, and service-driven came up short.

They built their own answer: a warm, thoughtfully designed, highly supervised environment that they hope sets a new standard for NYC dog parents.

The flagship location in the heart of Chelsea offers enrichment-led daycare, overnight boarding, self-wash, a curated retail boutique, and live-stream cameras.

The experience blends hospitality, transparency, and wellness principles with elevated design offering something entirely new in the NYC dog care landscape, according to the Carlsons.

Barkhouse’s 5,000-square-foot space includes enrichment-led play areas, private & group boarding suites, and a curated retail boutique where customers can find must-have essentials, elevated products, and thoughtful gifts by brands like Moko, Pehom, 2.8 Due Punto Otto, among others.

For the husband and wife duo their goal is simple with Barkhouse: “To give New York City gogs the kind of care we’d want for our wwn—personal, premium, and full of heart,” they said.

“At Barkhouse, every day is built around one simple idea: when your dog is happy, you are too.”

Barkhouse is located at 150 West 25th St. For more information on pricing, services and memberships you can visit their website.
