A woman’s death in Fort Worth is being investigated by Fort Worth homicide detectives after determining she was fatally shot from outside her home Friday.
Officers first responded to a home in the 3400 block of Tahiti Lane Friday at 8:51 p.m. on a medical call, Fort Worth police said in a news release. It was reported that the woman had fallen while inside the home, police said.
After she was taken to a hospital for treatment, medical staff determined she had been shot, police said.
The home the woman was in was secured, and the homicide unit was informed, police said. Detectives determined that a bullet entered the home from the outside and struck the woman while she was inside.

There was a shots-fired call in the area an hour prior to the medical call. police said. Detectives are also working to identify any suspects or vehicles connected to the shooting.
At this time, police said no suspects have been arrested.
