Fort Worth firefighters responded to a fire at a five-story assisted living facility on Sunday afternoon, officials said.
FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Fire Department on Sunday responded to a fire at a multi-story assisted living facility, officials said.
Firefighters responded around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, in the 3200 block of Sondra Drive, the Fort Worth Fire Department said in a press release.
The fire occurred at a five-story commercial structure that includes an assisted living facility, the release states. Multiple firefighters were needed to evacuate the building, officials said. Some of the residents suffered from smoke inhalation, firefighters said. No other injuries were immediately reported.
The incident was later upgraded to a 2-alarm fire and was under control by about 12:20 p.m., officials said.
