NARBERTH—The Narberth Borough Council and the Narberth Planning Commission will hold a zoning open house later this month

“This informal, drop-in event will give attendees the opportunity to learn more about the zoning changes recently discussed by the Planning Commission and currently under consideration by Borough Council,” according to information provided by the borough.

Among the topics planned for discussion are housing affordability analysis and the Planning Commission’s recommendations for a couple of its zoning districts.

During the January Narberth Borough Council meeting, Maggie Dobbs, borough manager, said they will be discussing the zoning recommendations that the planning commission has been working on.

The borough’s consultant from the Montgomery County Planning Commission will be on hand to answer questions and provide insight into how zoning tools can help Narberth respond to rising rents and other pressures in the local housing market.

At the open house, there will also be information boards, draft concepts, and staff will be available throughout the night.

According to Dobbs, at the February planning commissioner meeting, there will also be a discussion on housing affordability, and some of that information will likely be discussed at the open house.
