Last week’s snowfall kept the Philadelphia Parking Authority from enforcing all parking violations for several days.

During that time, the PPA focused on enforcing parking violations that would be considered a safety violation — like, parking in front of fire hydrants, bus zones, no stopping anytime zones, handicapped parking spaces, double parking and blocking crosswalks.

But, that ends on Tuesday as, starting at 8 a.m., the PPA will resume enforcing parking violations for meters, kiosks and time zones.

Towing an impoundment of illegally parked vehicles will resume, as well.

In a statement on the change, officials with the PPA said the agency’s parking garages and lots at the Philadelphia International Airport are open 24 hours a day and are accessible with cleared roads and spaces.
