One of Maine’s oldest bridges will be transformed into a work of art.
The Frank J. Woods Bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham will be turned into sculptures.
The MaineDOT is currently replacing the bridge, which dates back to 1932.
Brunswick Public Art has a plan to turn pieces of the bridge into a sculptures, which will be permanently installed around the entrance.
The nonprofit is taking ideas for works of art to capture the history of the bridge.
The MaineDOT is hoping the new bridge will be open by next year.
