PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is fighting for his life after being rescued off Camelback Mountain in Phoenix Saturday afternoon.
At about 1 p.m., technical rescue crews were called to the emergency three-quarters of the way up Cholla Trail, where a man was suffering from a “life-threatening” medical emergency.

Crews used a helicopter to get the man off the mountain and to a hospital, where he remains in “extremely critical condition,” according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
No firefighters were hurt.
