SAN ANTONIO – A man was killed after allegedly losing control during heavy rain and colliding wth a steel pole.
The crash occurred around 6:40 pm Saturday on Tezel Road near Wilder Street, during wet and rainy conditions, which left the roadway slick.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the man was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry southbound when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a steel pole.
EMS responded quickly and attempted life-saving measures, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
