Championship weekend at the All England Club is set.
The women’s final is set for Saturday morning after another upset along the way. No. 13 seed Amanda Anisimova took down No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka in three sets on Thursday to reach her first Grand Slam final in thrilling fashion. After serving for the match up 5-3 in the third, Sabalenka scored a break to push it back on serve. But Anisimova answered immediately by scoring the first three points of the 10th game and eventually getting the win. She’ll take on No. 8 seed Iga Swiatek, who eliminated Belinda Bencic in straight sets (6-2, 6-0).
Then on Sunday, the epic rematch goes down as No. 1 Jannik Sinner takes on No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz. Sinner and Alcaraz put on an all-time match in the French Open final last month with the Spaniard walking away victorious in an epic five-setter. Now, Sinner looks for his revenge, but he’ll have to get past a foe who has dominated on grass and is seeking his third straight Wimbledon title in London.
