Disney shared first look photos of the updated Audio-Animatronics figures on Frozen Ever After at EPCOT.

The heads of the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff animatronics have been completely replaced to give them fully-articulated physical faces instead of projected features. The bodies were also refurbished to give them refined animation, creating a more “true-to-film look.”

The animatronic update was inspired by the version of Frozen Ever After that opened in Hong Kong Disneyland in 2023. The EPCOT version closed on January 26, 2026 and is scheduled to reopen on February 12.

Disney also used the short refurbishment period to update the show control system, refresh show lighting, and touch up sets.
