Syracuse, N.Y. — If your lights flickered or went out Wednesday night, you were not alone.
Customers across Central New York experienced brief power outages Wednesday evening. The lights also went out in the JMA Wireless Dome during the Syracuse-California men’s basketball game on Wednesday night.
The power outages between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. were due to a fault on a transmission line, according to National Grid spokesperson Jared Paventi.
The transmission line, located in southern Onondaga County, returned to normal operation last night, he said.
Thursday morning, there are no active outages, according to the National Grid outage map.
A separate power outage that cut power to 32 customers in the town of Manlius last night was unrelated to the power line outages, Paventi said.
