SAN ANTONIO — Texas heat is no joke and San Antonio is making an effort to help San Antonian’s cool off this summer. San Antonio’s Cool Neighborhoods Program returns for a second year in a row to take action to keep neighborhoods cool.
The program is looking to take action in four neighborhoods by seeking households who can help with resources like cool roofs, cool pavement, more shade and trees to make these areas cooler.
Households interested in participating by attending meetings, staying informed, sharing information and resources with friends and family, or to sign up to receive one of the cooling solutions can click here for more information.
San Antonio’s Cool Neighborhoods Program is also hosting free summer heat information fairs to provide with resource information, examples of cool pavements and roof technologies, free plant seeds, energy conservation kits, fresh produce boxes, activities for kids and paletas.

Tuesday, June 24: 4 – 7 p.m.

Thursday, June 26: 4 – 7 p.m.
