The criminal complaint alleges that Cruz met an undercover federal agent and another person in a business parking lot to sell them methamphetamine.

Cruz provided the agent three pounds of methamphetamine in exchange for $2,700.

Upon investigation, authorities learned that Cruz was a Mexican national and was in the U.S. illegally.

The Cruz case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide effort to combat violent crime and “illegal immigration.”
