SAN ANTONIO – A local man has been arrested for allegedly making threats against President Donald Trump on a news station’s social media.

Robert Herrera, 52, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly making threats against President Trump on a local news station’s Facebook page on posts about his visit to the Texas Hill Country.

According to the United States District Attorney, Herrera made comments on a local news station’s social media using the handle “Robert Herrer” to comment, “I won’t miss,” attached to a photo of the President surrounded by Secret Service agents after the 2024 assassination attempt. Another user commented, “you won’t get the chance, I promise,” to which Herrera replied, “I’ll just come for you,” along with a photo of an assault rifle and loaded magazines.

Herrera was arrested and, if convicted, faces up to five years in prison.
