Few commitments generated as much excitement in Ohio State’s 2025 recruiting class as five-star Ohio prospect Tavien St. Clair

St. Clair finished as the No. 4 prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2025 cycle per 247Sports’ rankings, but the Bellefontaine native came to Columbus with the understanding he’d need time to develop.

In his freshman season, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound signal caller served as the Buckeyes’ third-string quarterback. He played 13 total snaps in his first campaign at Ohio State, appearing briefly in the Buckeyes’ blowout win over Grambling State, throwing two passes in the 70-0 victory.
