JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A fire broke out early Saturday morning at the San Jose Apartments, a senior living community in San Jose. The fire started around 7:40 a.m. in the kitchen stove area, according to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Captain Eric Prosswimmer.
The building has 60 units. One person was taken to the hospital with injuries.
The fire is now out. The entire building lost power, and water service has been shut off.
