PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for Feb. 18, 2026:
Original Chop Shop – 35 W Boston Street, Chandler
3 violations:
- Multiple plastic and metal containers stacked as clean with visible food debris
- Cooked broccoli not kept hot enough
- Plumbing problem at food prep sink
Crazy Greek – 430 E Bell Rd, Phoenix
3 violations:
- No certified food manager
- Staff members not washing hands properly
- Feta cheese and tzatziki sauce not kept cold enough
WaBa Grill – 555 N Scottsdale Rd, Tempe
3 violations:
- No certified food manager
- Cook washing hands without soap
- Employee scratched nose then plated an order
Fuji San Sushi and Grill – 2100 S Gilbert Rd, Chandler
4 violations:
- Chef handling raw cabbage with bare hands
- Raw eggs stored above raw shrimp
- Dishwasher not cleaning properly
- Cut leaf kale not kept cold enough
Cloves Indian Groceries and Kitchen – 1825 W Chandler Blvd, Chandler
8 violations:
- No hand wash sink in customer service line
- White organic substance on tamarind
- Raw chicken stored above raw eggs
- Build up of food debris on can opener
- Vegetable and meat soups not kept hot enough
- Goat bones and goat pie filling kept past discard dates
- Window cleaner above spices
- Buckets of rice stored on floor
