Phoenix police ask public to stay away from 83rd Avenue and Indian School intersection

Phoenix police were asking people to stay away from a west Phoenix intersection Saturday morning.

Officers were “negotiating with an armed man” near North 83rd Avenue and West Indian School Road, the department said on X shortly before 10 a.m.

The intersection is a busy one, with a Fry’s, a McDonald’s and several other businesses and commercial plazas.
