The Indiana Fever are back on top after defeating Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.

Indiana defeated Atlanta 99-82 with a healthy roster that included Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham in the lineup, after both had dealt with injuries throughout the season.

In the win over the Dream, Clark posted 12 points, four rebounds and nine assists. Cunningham finished the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds and one assist.

After the game, the Fever posted a video of Cunningham, where the Indiana star spoke on her role with the team and desire to help them win.

“I bring the energy, I bring the feistiness,” Cunningham said. “I’m a little bit sassy.”

“Sophie Cunningham was electric in our dub over the Dream last night, recording her first double-double of the season,” posted the official social media account of the Indiana Fever.

After the Fever shared the post, Caitlin Clark took to social media, sharing one word to describe Sophie Cunningham.

“Dawg,” Clark said.

During her first season with the Fever, Cunningham has averaged 5.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.

Before playing with the Fever, Cunningham spent the first six seasons of her career with the Phoenix Mercury, playing alongside league legends Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi.
