The Chicago Tribune has endorsed Patricia Joan “Trish” Murphy for the important Cook County Board 6th District election in the Democratic Primary on March 17, 2026. The seat is held by Donna Miller who is retiring from that position and is running for Congress.
In a major editorial, the Chicago Tribune has endorsed Patricia Joan “Trish Murphy for the office of Cook County Board representing the 6th District in the March 17 Democratic Primary election contest.
The winner of the election will go on to easily win the November election.
Four other candidates have filed to run as Democrats in that election, but the Chicago Tribune wrote that Murphy “is better prepared to undertake the day-to-day duties of a Cook County Board commissioner.”
