On Father’s Day and Mother’s Day, we honor our parents. Most moms prefer to relax with a stress-free day surrounded by loved ones. Dads? They want action. Hence, our family chose a Cidercade outing this year. Never been there? Well, boy howdy, let me regale you.

As we approached the unassuming building nestled on a corner, we almost missed it. Parking proved challenging, but we managed. Leaving the bright outdoors, we slipped inside to a dark, noisy space filled with every type of video game known to man. It also serves an array of alcoholic ciders, sodas, and pizza. A huge round, rotating affair, the pizza oven bakes about eight at a time. Tables are scattered throughout. For the little ones, outside seating sports swings — a thoughtful touch. While the building appears small from the outside, it stretches out to the back of the property with numerous, surprising spaces.
