PHOENIX — The eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway off-ramp at Alma School Road will be closing for two months.

The Chandler off-ramp is scheduled to close Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. and is set to reopen in mid-September, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

ADOT recommended that drivers exit Price Road or Arizona Avenue while the off-ramp is closed.

The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Arizona Avenue is scheduled to reopen at the end of July.

The closure off-ramp closure is part of a ADOT’s Loop 202 Improvement Project.

The $200 million project started last August and is meant to improve traffic on the freeway between Loop 101 and Val Vista Drive in Chandler and Gilbert.  It spans 8 miles and is expected to take over two years to complete, according to ADOT.
