Dallas Fire Rescue responding to ruptured gas line at apartment complex

The apartment building is being evacuated, officials said.

DALLAS — Dallas firefighters are responding Friday afternoon after a gas line reportedly ruptured at an apartment complex, officials say.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, units were called to the fire at about 2:57 p.m. at the complex at 1925 Moser Avenue.

Atmos Energy has been notified, DFR said. In the meantime, the apartment building is being evacuated.

One firefighter was injured, DFR said, after being bit by a dog during the evacuation. They have been taken to a local hospital.

It’s not yet known how the line was ruptured or if Atmos is yet on scene.
