Re “San Diego relaxes new ban on digital-only grocery coupons” (July 9): Here we go again! Council members Sean Elo-Rivera and Marni von Wilpert are patting themselves on the back because they think they have helped seniors save a few dollars. They worry about a few grocery coupons, but have no problem putting exorbitant trash fees on us. Seniors love to walk at Mission Bay, the Zoo and Balboa Park, yet they come up with bright ideas of putting parking meters in all these places. These council people think they are helping seniors, but they are not. Remember who came up with “world-class” trash service and parking meters at attractions to balance the city budget.
Are these council people the best we can get? There must be some people in San Diego who care about the taxpayers and not their own political agendas and ambitions and can run the city with honesty and integrity.
