It’s been 31 working days since Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky’s Chief of Staff Lamar Whitmer was escorted from city hall by armed police officers and placed on non-disciplinary administrative leave for possible policy violations
That means Whitmer has been sitting at home (the terms of the leave require Whitmer remain in his house during work hours with no city-owned electronics), collecting his $135,013 annual salary for over a month, and that will be the reality for at least a little while longer.
Whitmer signed an agreement to a 10 calendar day extension of his leave Friday, Feb. 27, according to a city spokeswoman.
