Survivor 50 Episode 2 was called Therapy Carousel and followed a three-hour long season premier that saw two people leave the island. This time around Savannah was the third person voted off the island.

Savannah Louie won Season 49 but was voted off of Survivor 50 in less than a week.

The episode started off with Christian Hubicki of Season 37 (David vs. Goliath) having “an unexpected evacuation” in his khakis and soiling himself. But what could’ve been an embarassing episode turned into a fortuitous one when he found a Billie Eilish Boomerang.

The idol works like “a fully powered idol good until the final five. But it comes with a twist. You can’t keep it. You must send it to someone on another tribe. Yeah, I know. And once you send it, the idol becomes theirs with two rules: they cannot give it to anyone else, and they can only use it for themselves. But here’s the fun part that only you know about. If they’re voted out while still holding it, it boomerangs back to you. So, do you send it to someone you trust, hoping you can work together later? Or do you send it someone you want to sabotage, hoping they are voted out and the idol circles back to you?”

Christian sent the idol to Aubry Bracco: Seasons 32 (Kaôh Rōng – Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty), 34 (Game Changers), 38 (Edge of Extinction).

Rizo Velovic the Season 49 winner is still considered lazy by the rest of the Vatu Tribe, especially after he stopped working due to a booboo on his finger. Stephenie Lagrossa Kendrick from Seasons 10 (Palau), 11 (Guatemala), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains) was Jersey Strong and helped carry the team out of the whole that Rizo help dig. However, Rizo would redeem himself during the last stage of the immunity challenge.

Cila had their second Tribal Council in as many episodes.

After six days on the island Cirie Fields who took part in Seasons 12 (Panama – Exile Island), 16 (Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites), 20 (Heroes vs. Villains), and 34 (Game Changers) earned her first advantage in Survivor history.

Cirie successfully plotted against against Savannah,, in a similar fashion to last week when she successfully survived the first vote despite costing the team the challenge. Cirie successfully deflected Cila from voting for Ozzy Lusth from Seasons 13 (Cook Islands), 16 (Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites), 23 (South Pacific), and 34 (Game Changers).

Ozzy (who only received one vote) and pointed them towards Savannah. Ozzy gave Cirie his extra vote.

Christian told Rick Devens from Season 38 (Edge of Extinction) about his boomerang. Rick conspired to plant a false idol during the next tribal council and was legitimately giddy over the idea of blowing up the game with this idea.

The episode ended with Christian distracting the team and Rick planting the false idol after voting Savannah off the island.
