Connecticut is coming off a 79-65 loss to the Seattle Storm. Tina Charles had a double-double in the loss, scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as the rest of the offense sputtered.
The Sparks are coming off a loss as well, losing 91-82 on Thursday night to the first-place Minnesota Lynx. Kelsey Plum led the way for the team with 17 points and 12 assists, while Julie Vanloo came up big off the bench, scoring 15 points in 17 minutes. However, the defense couldn’t slow Minnesota down.
This is the first meeting of the 2025 season between these two teams. They’ll next play in Uncasville, Connecticut, on Thursday, July 24, then meet in Los Angeles on Aug. 7 for their final meeting of the year.
