While some professional athletes step away from competition after retiring, that’s far from the case with former Dallas Star Joe Pavelski.
The former forward for the Stars sank an eagle putt to win the American Century Championship on Sunday afternoon in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Pavelski finished with a 73 in the final round on Sunday and has competed in the American Century Championship nine times.

He finished just ahead of former MLB pitching great John Smoltz and former USMNT forward and current broadcaster Taylor Twellman.
Pavelski played over 1,500 NHL regular-season and playoff games with the San Jose Sharks and Stars since making his debut in the league in 2006. He was the NHL postseason’s leading goal-scorer nine years ago, tied for the most games played in the 2020 playoff bubble and is one of the most admired forwards of his generation.
