A teenage boy was shot on Sunday evening while riding an ATV in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood, police stated.

The shooting was reported at around 5:46 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Sangamon Avenue. According to police, the 17-year-old boy was riding an ATV when an unknown suspect fired multiple gunshots in his direction.

The victim was shot in the right arm and taken to an area hospital in good condition.

The suspect fled the scene following the shooting.

According to police, a vehicle was damaged by gunfire.

No one was in custody as of Sunday evening.
