PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person is hurt after colliding with a wrong-way driver on a transition ramp in west Phoenix Sunday morning.
The two-car crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. on the westbound Interstate 10 transition ramp onto the southbound Loop 202 (South Mountain) near 59th Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Troopers said the wrong-way driver was uninjured, while the other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to determine whether impairment played a role. The ramp was closed for several hours as troopers investigated.
