Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets continue to trade in the red, even as positive macro data trickles in. The Nifty index is trading with a deficit of over 100 points, pushing the Nifty index below the 25,000 mark. The Sensex has incurred a cut of close to 350 points, trading below the 83,500 mark.
The shares of Neuland Labs surged by 10%. The shares of Sona BLW surged by 10% in the opening hours of the day. Apart from that, major sectors saw a collective decline. Reeling under pressure ahead of results, the IT stocks decline. In addition, the defence stocks, including Garden Reach, Cochin Shipyard, and Bharat Dynamics, dropped in value.
The Q1 earnings-bound stocks like HCL Tech are trading 1% lower. The shares of Ola Electric, after dropping to red, surged by over 5% after the company announced its results for Q1 FY26. In the results, the company’s losses widened YoY.
When we look at the broader markets, the picture is positive. The Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices are trading in the green, with gains. The midcap soared by under 0.45%, while the small-cap rose by around 0.75%
