Could Phoenix hit triple digits next week?

Several days of record-breaking temperatures are in the forecast but how early are we expected to hit that triple-digit mark?

PHOENIX — Temperatures in Arizona are trending upward, and the Valley may see the earliest 100-degree day on record.

The forecast has several days of record-breaking or near record-breaking heat in the Valley starting on Thursday.

The forecasted high on March 17 could reach the triple-digit mark.

If we top 100, it would be the earliest triple-digit day on record.

The previous record was March 26, 1988.
