News On 6 has confirmed that the couple killed during the storms on Friday night were Todd and Becky McClellan of Beggs.

The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-3 tornado struck near Beggs on March 6, causing significant damage to homes and schools.

The McClellans lived near Alt U.S. 75 and Grimes Road, where at least four homes were hit by the tornado. Their family created an online fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses.

Neighbor David Henderson said he and his wife live just down the road, where their roof was torn off while they were inside.

Tornadoes that swept through parts of Oklahoma overnight left families assessing damage Saturday, including one Beggs couple who says they had only seconds to take cover before their home was torn apart.
