A cement spill on the 10 Freeway shut down multiple lanes in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles Friday morning.
The incident was reported around 8:45 a.m., when wet cement was found across three westbound lanes near South La Brea Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A SigAlert was issued for the closures of three lanes, the CHP said.
Sky5 was over the scene at 11 a.m., as a frontloader worked to clear the cement from the freeway. The cement truck that lost the load could also be seen stopped on the right shoulder.

By that time, the CHP had extended the SigAlert until around noon but had reopened one of the three lanes. Traffic through the area was backed up to about the 110 Freeway, KTLA’s Rich Prickett reported.
It was not immediately clear what caused the spill.
