They came, they saw and they dressed up for the occasion. Arizona cosplayers took it to the next level at Game On Expo 2026 in downtown Phoenix.
The three-day gaming event at the Phoenix Convention Center was attended by thousands of Arizona gamers, including hundreds of local cosplayers who paid tribute to their favorite video games and anime titles.
Among the crowd of thousands attending Game On Expo were folks dressed up like Nintendo icons Samus Aran and Princess Zelda, characters from infuential games like “Undertale” and anime favorites like “KPop Demon Hunters.”

Many Game On Expo 2026 attendees showed their love for “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33,” the wildly popular role-playing title, by dressing as characters from the game. The spike in cosplay inspired by the RPG was no accident, as multiple voice actors appeared at the event, prompting fans to express their fandom through intricate costumes.
Ditto for “Final Fantasy VII” cosplay, which was inspired by voice actors Briana White, Britt Baron and John Bentley appearing at Game One Expo 2026.
