West Virginia will participate in the College Basketball Crown, and the opening round matchup is set.

The Mountaineers will take on Stanford on April 2 at 8 p.m, and the game will broadcast on FS1. The winner of that game faces the winner of Creighton-Rutgers.

The Cardinal are KenPom’s No. 58 team nationally, and bolster a 20-12 overall record. They lost to Pittsburgh in the ACC tournament, which ended their NCAA Tournament hopes.

West Virginia sits beside them at No. 59 in KenPom’s rankings.

In total, there are eight teams in the single-elimination bracket. They are WVU, Stanford, Creighton, Rutgers, Minneosta, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Baylor. The Big 12 leads the way with three teams accepting an invite.
