OPINION — Tempe recently implemented red-light cameras at various intersections. At the McClintock and Warner intersection, the marking (red line on the pavement) indicating the beginning of the intersection when traveling southbound is misplaced.
Per state law, the beginning of an intersection is delineated by a line running from the corner curb to the opposing corner curb.
At McClintock, the northern line marking the intersection runs from the northwest corner curb eastward to a point some 100 feet east on Warner Road, rather than to the curb on the northeastern corner of the intersection.
