After dropping the first matchup 80-75 in a hard-fought battle, the Sky responded with an impressive win on Saturday. However, in Monday night’s rubber match, Chicago fell 91-78 despite a competitive effort, dropping to 7-14 on the season, while the Lynx improved to 19-4.
Leading the way once again for Chicago was Angel Reese, who notched her ninth straight double-double — finishing with 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and a block while shooting 9-for-14 from the field and 4-for-6 from the free-throw line.
Following the game, the Sky announced Reese as their “Player of the Game,” an honor she’s earned more than any other player on the roster this season.
“A menace on both sides of the court,” Sky posted.

Fans reacted to the announcement:
“Get her some help,” a fan said.
Someone else added, “Lead the team in each stat listed tears bruva.”
Another person wrote, “She’s who she thinks she is.”
One more person commented, “Indeed another great game from Angel.”
Chicago also got a strong contribution from Rachel Banham, who added 15 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Banham has continued to step up in a bigger role following the season-ending injury to veteran Courtney Vandersloot.
On the Lynx side, MVP candidate Napheesa Collier put on a dominant display, pouring in a game-high 29 points to go with five assists and three rebounds.
