In a video shared to social media, the K-9 star—who currently runs his own cannabis farm—can be seen sharing an extended hug with a fan at an event for his company, Belushi’s Farm. An emotional Belushi is then seen in conversation with the teary-eyed fan, clearly comforted by his gracious gesture. The video is captioned, “When my wife tells Jim Belushi her brother died from an overdose too…”
One fan called Belushi “a class act,” while another added, “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen on the internet in a long time.”

Jim Belushi is the younger brother of SNL alum and Animal House legend John Belushi, who died from a drug overdose in 1982 at the age of 33. Jim has spoken publicly about having a drinking problem in his early 20s and has been sober for more than 15 years. In 2019, he pivoted away from Hollywood to focus on his cannabis farm in Oregon.
