A woman from London, Ont. is at-large and a man from Mississauga is facing several charges after a handgun was located in a hotel in downtown Toronto over the weekend.

Toronto police said on Sunday at about 3 p.m. officers attended a hotel near King Street West and Blue Jays Way for reports of a suspicious incident.

Malek El Sayah, 30, of Mississauga, was subsequently arrested and charged with a number of firearm possession offences as well as one cout of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000 and three counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking. The charges have not been tested in court.

He was scheduled to appear in bail on March 23.

Daniela Young, 31, of London, Ont., is wanted for possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of prohibited/restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority (over capacity magazine), and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
