San Diego police are investigating after a 37-year-old woman died in her Rolando area apartment early Wednesday.
A man called police just after 1:35 a.m. to report that his wife had fallen to the ground and was not breathing in their apartment on College Avenue north of University Avenue San Diego homicide Lt. Lou Maggi said in a news release.
Police arrived to find the man administering life saving measures on his wife, but she died, Maggi said.
The lieutenant said that on closer examination, officers saw that the woman had “some minor, but unexplained injuries.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, homicide investigators responded to the scene and will be handling the investigation,” Maggi said.
He said the woman’s husband has been cooperative with investigators. The woman’s name was not released.
