PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for April 1, 2026:
Angry Crab Shack – 3227 E Bell Rd, Phoenix
3 violations:
- Dead lobster in tank
- Sausage not kept hot enough
- Rangoon’s not kept cold enough
AZ Pho And Grill – 1674 N Higley Rd, Gilbert
3 violations:
- Employee not washing hands long enough
- Employee washing dishes, then touching food without washing hands
- No sanitizer in dishwasher
Mesa Spirit RV Resort – 3020 E Main St, Mesa
3 violations:
- Raw ground meat touching cooked food in cooler
- Ham not kept cold enough
- Soup kept past discard date
El Mañanero – 2151 N 83rd Ave, Phoenix
4 violations:
- Employee changed gloves without washing hands
- Red chili salsa not kept hot enough
- Milk not kept cold enough
- Personal water bottle stored in ice machine
Seville Golf & Country Club – 6683 S Clubhouse Dr, Gilbert
5 violations:
- Raw chicken stored above pasta
- Braised chicken cooling improperly
- Cheese sauce not kept hot enough
- Cream cheese not kept cold enough
- Chicken tinga kept three weeks past discard date
