1. ‘It’ll never be the same’: Floods damage Kerrville businesses

Over one week since the Fourth of July floods struck Kerrville, William “Max” Duncan stood in his empty office, watching crews tear down the walls of a property that housed his business for almost 10 years.

For at least eight hours a day, the office is filled with loud ringing as jackhammers chip away at the tile floors and vacuums suck up the floating dust.

Kerrville native Robert Earl Keen hosts benefit concert for flood relief

Kerrville native Robert Earl Keen is giving back to his hometown by hosting a benefit concert, adding to the growing list of events raising money for people impacted by the deadly floods in Central Texas that have killed at least 132 people.
