HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – A man was arrested after allegedly holding up a bank at gunpoint in suburban Chicago.
What we know:
Around 9:15 a.m., Hoffman Estates police responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at Huntington Bank located at 1485 W. Palatine Road.
Callers reported that a man pulled out a gun and demanded money from the bank tellers. Hoffman Estates and Inverness police officers entered the bank and took the suspect into custody.
The suspect was turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is facing federal charges.
No injuries were reported.
