Despite the week starting with below-average temperatures, it’s not expected to end that way.
With the departure of rain clouds from North Texas, the heat has begun to climb. Thursday is forecast to see a high of 98 degrees, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, and Friday should creep up to 99.
Somewhat lower humidity Thursday afternoon and Friday in D-FW should keep the “feels like” temperature from reaching outrageous heights; it’s expected to peak around 101 degrees both days.
On Saturday, the temperature is expected to drop a few degrees back to a high of 96 before slowly climbing up again next week. There is no precipitation in the forecast through next Wednesday.
D-FW Weather Wise
The region still hasn’t had its first 100-degree day of the summer. While temperatures are expected to approach that mark for much of the next week, the forecast does not currently indicate that D-FW will eclipse it.
