CHICAGO (WLS) — Parts of the Chicago area are flooding on Saturday morning ahead of a cold front.

A Flood Warning is in effect for Cook, Grundy, Kankakee, LaSalle, Livingston, Will, and Lake (Ind.) counties until 10 a.m.
A Flood Watch is in effect for Cook, DuPage, Will, Grundy, Kankakee, Livingston, Jasper, Lake (Ind.), Newton, and Porter counties until 10 a.m.
Some locations within the warning box received 2-4 inches of rain overnight, said ABC7 Chicago AccuWeather Meteorologist Jaisol Martinez.
Some areas are seeing lightning and downpours with more rain expected. Pockets of heavy rain will continue through about 8 a.m. with light showers lingering through 11 a.m.

Grundy, Kankakee, Livingston and Will counties were under a Flash Flood Warning until 2 a.m.
The rain has made driving difficult at times. Videos out of Wilmington, Dolton, and Calumet City show roads covered in water.
ABC7 crews spotted several vehicles stranded in high water. Some vehicles were partially submerged.
Underpasses were also flooded, forcing drivers to find other ways to get around. There still could be standing water in ditches, viaducts, and other low lying areas on Saturday morning.
Looking ahead, conditions are expected to be dry on Saturday afternoon with temperatures in the 50s, Martinez said.
Easter Sunday will start cold and before temperatures rise into the low 50s with a mix a sun and clouds.
